Acne is making me severely depressed.?
So I have had acne since forever and a day.
I am 16.
I have extremely dry skin after I wash my face, but as the day wares on my face is oily and shiny.
I wash my face twice a day.
My acne is just the regular stuff but I also get cysts and nodules occasionally. It is all over my face, my back, arms, and chest.
I have been prescribed so many antibiotics (tetracycline, Minocycline, Retin-A, clindamycin, and so much more.)
I can't go on Accutane or any other Isotretinoin b/c of the mental health side affects (genetics suck).
I am feeling so depressed and am losing friends literally by at least one or two a month.
I havn't looked anyone besides about 5 people directly into the eyes.
I have extreme problems with meeting new people b/c i am afraid they will be extremely critical of my acne.
I look at myself in the mirror and cry.
I am looking for natural acne treatments, or some type of acne treatment that doesnt include Isotretinoin (Accutane).
Someone please help me.
I was taking taking 600 mg a day of minocycline.
Applying the Clindamycin twice a day.
Applying the Tetracyline one a day.
All 3 of those at the same time. Acne did not get better or worse.
I've been to 2 different Dermatologists. A Kaiser dermatologist and a general dermatologist. Both were at least in their late 50's.
How can I find a younger dermatologist?

I've got to tell you, you are breaking my heart. I am in my 50's and that is how it was for me, too. I am slowly getting treatments for my scars after all these years. There is so much more on the market now, have you gone to more than one dermatologist? I'd get a 2nd opinion at a young Dr. who is up on the newest stuff. I'd take your pain away if I could. Best wishes.
