Should I see my regular doctor or gyno?

I’m experiencing either an underactive thyroid or perimenopause or maybe even both. I’m 33 and don’t know if to visit my regular doctor or my gynocologist? My symptoms are: fatigue, cold hands & feet, bit of depression, muscle spasms, hair loss, drowsiness, dizziness, heart palpitations, decreased libido and lubrication, major junk food craving, extremely light periods, very bloated and acne along jawline and under chin plus the area where the thyroid is is swollen and can feel a lump there. When I drink coffee I have major hot flashes for 10 minutes to an hour where before I didn’t. So wich doc should I visit? I feel more comfy with my gyno cause she’s a woman….

I`m 57yo and these hot flashes and mood swings drive me crazy.

What type of doctor should I see?

Mary you are obviously advertising for this company and I’m furious that even though I have more than just one symptom that something IS wrong with me you think a lube gel is going to take away everything else I have? I HAD an awesome sex life until about 3 weeks ago so NO…I don’t need your gel! You make me sick. Go advertise somewhere else!

I am 53 and am finally I believe in menopause. I am not feeling to bad except for a few headaches and exhaustion but mostly the hot flashes. Living here in Texas with the 100 degree heat sure didnt help (looking forward to winter), anyway I do not want to go on any drugs and prefer to do it naturally. Can anyone recommend any vitamins, teas, foods anything that will help my hot flashes. Thanks in advance.

After not sleeping more than 4 hours per night for the past 3 months,
and not having a period since late January, I decided to see my doctor
to rule out any medical reasons. She ordered a blood test to see if
my hormones were messed up due to menopause. (I'm 47 years old.)
The results were that I am in menopause. The only symptoms I'm
having are that I can NOT sleep through the night! No problems with
night sweats or hot flashes, but I sleep for about 3-4 hours, then I'm
wide awake for the rest of the night. I'm not crazy about going on
hormones due to cost, side effects, etc., and I've taken over-the -counter sleep aids and melatonin, which haven't helped. Any other
ideas for natural, non-hormonal sleep aids that have worked for you?
I am also taking yoga classes 3 or 4 times a week, playing tennis at least once a week. I never drink coffee, and
I only drink iced tea or soft drinks about
3 times per week. I drink lots of water,
and I eat very very little red meat, when
I eat meat, (not every day) it is usually
chicken or fish. I love fresh fruits and veggies. I put lavender essential oil
on a cotton ball in my pillowcase at night.
I have a sleep-number bed, so my mattress is not the issue. Thanks for all
the suggestions!

What do you think?

Should I go to the doctor? Some have said that I could be showing signs of early menopause. I have hot flashes, night sweats, increase in acne, I am really moody, like happy one minute a bear the next, trouble sleeping, always tired. I am on the Depo shot, and I dont know if that means anything. I have a friend that is having the same thing I am and she was told it was early menopause.

Also, I have a really low libido. I dont care if we have intercourse or not. Its like more of a bother to have it than not. Its like after I got divorced from my ex, I could care less if I had it again or not, but since I am remarried, when we were first married, I wanted to alot, but since the baby who is almost 2, I dont care.. Any suggestions? My hubby is irriated with it, though he says he's not

Best option for medical treatment of acne?

I believe my acne is hormonally caused. I've tried pretty much every kind of acne product out there. The only thing that came close to working was proactiv, but even that stopped working after a few months. My acne always comes in cycles, it gets really bad, then clears up till almost clear skin, then comes back. It may be related to stress, but I feel my next best option is to get medication. I'm female, so I know my options can be birth control pills or some kind of antibiotic medication, but I've heard negatives from both. Birth control pills can lead to weight gain and possibly make your menopause worse experience in the future. Antibiotics may mess up your immune system after long-term use. Are there any other options out there? If not, which one of these is a better choice?
What I mean by affecting menopause is that by the time you get to it, you may experience more of the negative symptoms associated with it, like hot flashes.
I read about this in a scientific article, so I know that is a risk.
